I see no evidence that he did. If he did, then the article should make it clearer that the George Jones recording is a cover (since presumably he would have recorded it before Jones did). If he didn't, then this article should probably be moved back to its previous title, White Lightning (George Jones song). Korny O'Near ( talk) 17:44, 29 March 2021 (UTC) reply
