Backing artist credit

Currently the article makes this statement " At a time when no backing musicians, producers, or engineers received a name recognition on any records" which I don't believe to be true, based on many examples in my collection. Oftentimes the backing group would recieve credit, particularly if the backing group were making records on their own that the label wanted to promote. At the very least this statement needs modification, even if properly sourced. I think this has become an accepted urban legend. 78.26 ( talk) 05:22, 3 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Grand Ole Opry

I can find no source saying they were members of the Grand Ole Opry. I removed the article from the category. Tomsv 98 ( talk) 19:49, 3 July 2012 (UTC) reply

I found a source and added the category back along with some text. Tomsv 98 ( talk) 20:27, 6 July 2012 (UTC) reply

Johnny Cash

Owing to Cash's connection with Elvis, I singled out their involvement with him in the post-Elvis section. 68.146.52.234 ( talk) 11:33, 13 April 2015 (UTC) reply

Removal of unreferenced information

However likely it is that the information I have removed is factually correct, it has been tagged as unreferenced for over four years! I have therefore removed it, but do hope some editor will try to strengthen this page, this time with reliable and published third-party sources.
