A new editor is attempting to edit the opening paragraph, against consensus, and has failed to offer any reasoning on this page. Reported at WP:ANEW. Ghmyrtle ( talk) 23:16, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
Should an image of Chuck Berry be included in the article? Yes, of course. Should it be included in the infobox at the head of the article? No, it shouldn't. It does not "illustrate" the subject matter. It simply presents one performer, who was important but not by any stretch of the imagination the sole creator of r'n'r. No-one was. The infobox, in this case, should be left unadorned with images of individuals. Ghmyrtle ( talk) 22:18, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
My revision as of 04:43, 11 June 2023 , (Added a new section. "The significance of Rock and Roll for the Youth in Europe after World War II") was reverted by C.Fred for the reason: "undue weight about a single documentary". My answer is: I understand that. But the question then is: how do I weigh what you consider "too much" or "not enough"? If I don't document enough, the article will get rejected, then if I put too much it gets rejected. Problem with this: I have found only One testimony/analysis on the subject, and if I make it too small, it will be considered a "stub". ... So how much is too much and how much is not enough? Bottomline: I could spend hours amputating the text, then your comment could then be that it is lacking in substance... Thanks J.Moondog ( talk) 05:15, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
could it be the rock n roll has its origin in the "rockingchair" and overdoing so in the "forward roll". does it need a rolling ship as mentioned in the article ?-- Konfressor ( talk) 09:07, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
This very long article seriously needs a table of contents. Also, what about more recent R&R, after the decline? Is rock music the same as R&R? And, is R&R always in 4/4 time? I didn't find anything about what time this kind of music is played in! 199.127.133.181 ( talk) 21:52, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
