Split section into article.

I am proposing a split of the section "O&O stations of the major TV networks in the United States" into its own article due to the section's restructuring and space issues within the current parent article as a result of its expansion. The list dominates more than half of the article and a split would allow the focus to of the main article to be on other sections. TVtonightOKC ( talk) 17:22, 9 May 2013 (UTC) reply

Fox section confusing

Please, some knowledgeable person rewrite it, to make it flow logically.

It begins by talking about the first station Fox bought, then the immediate next paragraph is about two stations it sold. Doesn't Fox have to buy stations before it can sell them? It's a bit like Cain getting married in the Old Testament -- where did Mrs. Cain come from?

The rest of the section reads no better.

Multicast networks

The article should probably try to make note as to whether stations that carry digital multicast networks owned by their parent broadcasting companies constitute as O&Os, or if this distinction does not apply since the networks are not the station's primary network affiliation. NBC Boston

As of January 1,2017 WBTS became the NBC O&O station in the Boston area. Why hasn't the list of NBC O&Os been updated to reflect that fact? Osnaburger1983 ( talk) 07:37, 1 January 2017 (UTC) reply

The WB

Because Tribune part-owned the network, I think all of Tribune's WB affiliates were WB O&Os. Why don't you include them? Pja1981 ( talk) 23:16, 5 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Why is this article Semi-Proteted?

I want an explanation why this article is semi-protected and denying others who don't have Wikipedia to edit it? What gives you the right to put a stupid padlock on the article? This is unacceptable! Put the FREE back into The Free Encyclopedia and I demand you remove the padlock right now! REMOVE THE SEMI-PROTECTION STATUS RIGHT NOW! >:(

P.S. Wikipedia's protection policies is a joke! Spencer H. Karter ( talk) 20:47, 16 July 2019 (UTC) reply

Change WJZY and WMYT to former O&Os; they were traded to Nexstar for KCPQ/KZJO and WITI, please put the latter two stations into the O&O table RedHotBeast ( talk) 07:47, 18 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Already done for KCPQ so I didn't have to do anything there.  Done for WJZY/WITI in one edit for the Fox tables and WMYT/KZJO in a second edit for the MNT tables. Alucard 16 ❯❯❯ chat? 08:17, 18 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Nexstar's acquisition of The CW has resulted in some criticism and ownership cap violations regarding CW-affiliated stations that the company owns, which are mainly in large and small markets, while the CBS News and Stations-owned CW stations are all owned-and-operated by the network's parent company, Paramount Global. 2603:8001:B202:3294:841D:292:ABBA:3D26 ( talk) 02:29, 6 October 2022 (UTC) reply

CBS announced in May 2023 that its eight CW affiliates would become independent stations in September 2023. This was part of an agreement after Nexstar purchased a majority stake purchase of The CW in October 2022. 2603:8001:B202:3294:F907:8D52:B187:CC05 ( talk) 02:09, 11 May 2023 (UTC) reply
