Organization of the New York City Fire Department has way too much unencyclopedic detail, and much of the encyclopedic content is already included here. Recommend merging it into this article. - Apocheir ( talk) 23:51, 4 November 2021 (UTC) reply

While I agree that page goes too far into the weeds with things the tables of every fire company and its address, I believe that the article should still exist on its own. I would submit NYPD and Organization of the NYPD as a parallel comparison of this concept done well. There is plenty of worthwhile detail that would bog down the general FDNY article if merged. Another example would be wiki articles covering airlines- large airlines will usually have one general article, plus a specialized "Fleet of xxxxx" companion article. A merge is not needed, just a big cleanup and refocusing of the Organization article. - Headphase ( talk) 02:13, 5 December 2021 (UTC) reply

FDNY ranks table issue.

This ranks table is wider than the rest of the text in this article, causing this entire page to shrink on device screen. Please, adjust the table. Thank you, -- Ooligan ( talk) 20:33, 26 December 2023 (UTC) reply
