The opening

The opening part/riff was used in the 1994 movie " The Santa Clause" after Scott Calvin's character's (played by Tim Allen) homemade dinner goes up in smoke and he takes his son to a Denny's restaurant for a Christmas Eve dinner.

The music is apparently used to indicate a failure in an at-home family situation for single/divorced/separated fathers - - - basically the opposite of what the song is actually about about.

Shouldn't that be mentioned in the article?
