Did that piece of luggage explode in Tokyo, or in Vancouver? If the entire incident happened in Canada, the story really has no relevance to Narita Airport. -- Sekicho 10:05, Mar 2, 2004 (UTC)

"Recently, Tokyo International Airport was allowed to have other international flights within Asia, as well as to Hawaii, in an attempt to alleviate Narita's problems with capacity. There has been some discussion about exchanging roles between Narita airport and Haneda to accommodate Tokyo residents as Narita is in Chiba prefecture and a typical train ride from even the eastern parts of Tokyo on an express train takes roughly 1 hour."
Can someone explain the significance of Narita being in Chiba, this relationship to Tokyo, and ... what is Haneda? This is the first time Haneda is mentioned in the article!! -- Golbez 04:01, Aug 31, 2004 (UTC)
The history shows some confusion over the name "Narita International Airport." My first instinct was that the name was wrong, since for many years, some people called it that in error.
I verified the name change took place on 01 April 2004, and added that information. The old name, "New Tokyo International Airport," was more descriptive of the destination most people thought of as departed for Japan. You don't hear people saying "I'm going to fly to Narita for business." Unless they are frequent travelers who just can't resist saying things like "I'm departing for Heathrow in the morning." -- Reward 02:24, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
Please stop putting Kaohsiung as a destination for United and Northwest. UA and NW do not fly to KHH! They never fly there, they only fly to TPE. Bucs2004 20:42, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
NW used to fly to Kaohsiung. But not anymore! WhisperToMe 21:47, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
FYI, Some goofball changed the name of the Japnese transport minister in the section about Narita Train Station to 'Noah Block'
One anon user has been adding New York-JFK as a destination for Delta. Delta does not fly to JFK from NRT....they only fly to Atlanta. Does Delta fly to JFK from NRT? I only recall them flying to Atlanta only. Bucs2004 03:40, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
They used to fly from JFK, but not anymore. WhisperToMe 18:25, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

This article currently shows destinations of "Naha" and "Okinawa", both referring to Naha Airport. Within the Aviation Project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Airline destination lists: Asia#Japan, would seem to show the preferred destination name for Naha Airport to be "Okinawa". Per this guidance, I will change all "Naha" destination references here to "Okinawa". -- Chaswmsday ( talk) 18:59, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
There are two small problems, china eastern has flights between Tokyo Narita and Qingdao and Qingdao is not listed in it's destinations. Shandong Airlines also launch Narita to Qingdao on September 3, yet the date is still there and it is September 6. If you don't believe me, it says it when you search for Qingdao to Tokyo Narita flights. 72.89.35.142 ( talk) 01:50, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
Please look at this: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2209&dat=19780520&id=Xl1YAAAAIBAJ&sjid=-jQNAAAAIBAJ&pg=7085,4794702 - this is a google photographic cache of the news story cited in the article (now a dead link) to support this statement: "The runway was completed and the airport scheduled to open on March 30, 1978, but this plan was disrupted when, on March 26, 1978, a group armed with Molotov cocktails drove into the airport in a burning car, broke into the control tower and destroyed much of its equipment, causing about $500,000 in damages and delaying the opening by another two months, to May 20, 1978." The article says all these attacks were stopped at the gate. I suggest this be corrected or removed or another source that reflects this information be cited. Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. You seem to have added a copy the entire article, which I removed. Please just say which part needs to be changed, and the reliable source that supports it. RudolfRed ( talk) 23:32, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Could a registered user please add to the Current Issues section/LCC service subsection the following information; The Narita International Airport Corp. has been, from April 2013 onwards, allowing LCC passengers stay to overnight at the airport, and is now providing some facilities for them in Terminal 2, namely a 24-hour convenience store on the fourth floor of the Terminal 2 building (which will begin operating on the 10th [11th local dateline] of July), and designated sleeping areas (requires [further?] ID checks). Thanks.

I know the history section talks somewhat about the land issues surrounding the airport. But I feel the article could use a separate section describing the unique land situation of Narita Airport. This is the only major airport in the world that has a working farm smack dab in the middle of it. Why is this so, and what are the prospects of getting this inappropriate and dangerous farm out of the middle of an international airport? The world has enough terrorist risks already, without having a private farm sitting in the middle of a major international airport. This article does not sufficiently address this current situation. -- Westwind273 ( talk) 06:29, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Do you work for the private company that has taken over this airport? My only interest is why there isn't a picture of the small farm on this page; the artice does in fact address the issue, though, no pictures. Oh, and as of 2005, officially the corporation running this airport has given up any claim on the farms. 68.107.138.161 ( talk) 13:22, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Westwind273 it was a land grab or annexation of private land by the government, only after tens of thousands of japanese had protested it - the government assigned fair payments to the land owners. It's a clear example of the mafia-like mentality of corporations and governments. Gendalv ( talk) 11:09, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

In the infobox for this page, it lists United as a hub airline with a reference link to United's corporate fact sheet page. However, the destination fact sheet no longer lists Narita as a hub. What exactly is the current status of United's presence at Narita? Are they still officially a hub? Unofficially a hub?
