Today I changed the population figures. It is now 1 640 888 according to TUİK figures. [1] But I wonder what the source of the older figure of 2 275 216 was. Such a drastic decline of population is impossible in Mersin. More over, the older figure of population density was 115 /km² which was not in accord with the population.
