Structures not exactly matching the definition of building

Transport buildings does currently not include:

Industrial buildings does not include:

Whereas other includes:

And military buildings includes:

All of these do not exactly match the strictest definition of building. The article on buildings on the other hand gives a very broad definition:

"Any human-made structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or continuous occupancy."

Even a sandcastle does support a use, e.g. the joy of building one. But most importantly roads and fields do. But these probably shouldn't be called a building.

So what should be included in this list? And what would be a better definition for building?

I would suggest changing the title to "List of building and structure types" so to not exclude those non-building structures listed above. Alternatively, create a separate article called "List of structure types" or "List of non-building structure types" to put all of those in it. -- Legion ( talk) 01:02, 23 January 2015 (UTC) reply
