POVs & nonsense in the Identity paragraph

The Identity paragraph are full of POVs and nonsense. The identity of Koreans in China are ethnic Korean, citizens of China if they have Chinese citizenship. Their identities don't depend on whether they, or some of them, like South Korea better, or like China better, or like North Korea better. The paragraph is like a discussion of whether Asian Americans are black or white. It is just nonsense. The people who asking such a question are either racists or unspeakably naive. The identity paragraph of this paper is just like that, full of POVs and nonsense. Such contents are not suitable for Wikipedia and should be deleted. 螺钉 ( talk) 04:46, 21 February 2018 (UTC) reply

Irrelevant (nonsense) information ?

Chapter 'Culture', last sentence .... "In recent years, there have been cases of "international marriage" between ethnic Koreans from China hailing from the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture marrying South Korean men. This trend has been argued by some as having resulted in an acceleration of the reduction of fertility among the Korean population in China." .... HUH ?? (and spare me to point out the several wikipedia rules, or which areas of science, this is breaching). Title change

Koreans of Chinese nationality are called "Joseonjok" in Korean language. Therefore, I suggest changing the title to "Joseonjok". User10281129 ( talk) 13:36, 22 June 2022 (UTC) reply

Disagree; they commonly go by all the names listed, including Chosŏnjok in North Korea, which has just as strong of an argument as the article's title. "Koreans in China" is a fine title imo; accessible to foreigners. toobigtokale ( talk) 01:01, 1 May 2023 (UTC) reply
Disagree; This is English Wikipedia not Korean one. EditQ ( talk) 05:11, 7 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Population?

The population in the infobox is from a 2019 Korean govt source, but in the lead the same number is used for a 2010 Chinese census. Surely the number isn't the exact same from 2019 and 2010? toobigtokale ( talk) 00:59, 1 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Article scope

Similar issue to Koreans in Japan; the article scope currently includes the colonial-era diaspora, post-colonial immigrants, and post-colonial expatriates.

The colonial-era diaspora is a significant population in itself, with a completely distinct culture and history from the other groups. An article for that group probably needs to be split off at some point, but I have no clue what it should be titled. toobigtokale ( talk) 01:58, 19 October 2023 (UTC) reply
