What is the ethnicity of Johnny's surname Ramistella?

He's described as 'White' but that's too broad. Toddsschneider ( talk) 21:41, 15 August 2012 (UTC) reply

It's Italian. I remember reading somewhere that his father and uncle played Italian folk songs when he was young. - TW — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.118.24.246 ( talk) 05:41, 19 February 2013 (UTC) reply

Personal life? Relationships?

This biography is only about his musical recordings. What about his personal life? That's a huge part of his life, too. Does he have children? Are they musicians? Does he live close to his family?

I don't understand why all of these musician biographies omit basic biographic detail that most other personal profiles on Wikipedia include. Why not just post a discography and leave it as that? </sarcasm>

People come to a artist's profile to learn about the person, not just see a list of their tour dates and recordings. Newjerseyliz ( talk) 16:57, 4 August 2013 (UTC) reply

This page is infrequently editted. My guess is that no one has put in the time to do what you are asking. Please feel free to change that by adding whatever (referenced) information about his life that you see fit. Ckruschke ( talk) 19:20, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Ckruschke reply
I am willing to write the text but someone else will need to type in the sources as I am unable to do so -- I often transpose numbers and I frequently get them mixed up with certain letters. Let me know... Rissa, copy editor ( talk) 06:51, 31 August 2014 (UTC) reply

Image request

Would it be appropriate to remove the image request at the head of this talk page as there are now images in the article? I don't know how to - or if I can - remove the request. Thoughts? THX1136 ( talk) 16:41, 20 May 2014 (UTC) reply

Rivers in Nashville

From the entry: "One evening in Birmingham, Rivers met Audrey Williams, Hank Williams' first wife. Rivers followed her to Nashville where he stayed...."

He followed her to Nashville? Did he have a crush on her? Was he stalking her? Did she suggest he move to Nashville because he could get work there? Did she ask to drop by if he was ever in town? I don't understand why his meeting Audrey Williams is in this entry unless their meeting resulted in something concrete wrt his career. Or their personal lives. I, therefore, propose this section be replaced "he moved to Nashville...." Rissa, copy editor ( talk) 05:49, 31 August 2014 (UTC) reply

Grammies

Rivers won two Grammy Awards for producing "Up, Up and Away" -- one for "Best Record of the Year" and the other for "Other Pop/Rock&Roll/ Contemporary Awards or Instrumental." I also added date -- 1967. Rissa, copy editor ( talk) 06:44, 31 August 2014 (UTC) reply

Missing info

From what I recall and see in the literature, before Johnny Rivers became famous didn't he initially perform with a drummer by the name of Eddie Rubin? Rivers mentions Eddie Rubin in all his interviews/biographies. Can someone add this to this article? Also some bassist named Joe Osborn eventually joined Rivers and Rubin, but the article makes no mention of that either. Rivers was never a one man band. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Burnukk ( talkcontribs) 08:54, 22 December 2019 (UTC) reply
