It's well established that Bobby Braddock was inspired to write this song after seeing a TV show/movie on the "biography" of a handgun. Has the movie ever been identified? I suspect it's The Gun, which fits the description and the timing perfectly. Has anybody seen a credible source for this? Brian mansfield ( talk) 20:04, 4 February 2018 (UTC) reply
