Godiva Chocolatier

  • Godiva Chocolatier as a brand is not jointly owned by Yıldız Holding and MBK Partners. MBK Partners has a perpetual license to use the GODIVA brand name and controls retail & distribution assets in Japan, South Korea, and Australia; with future rights to develop New Zealand. All other markets where GODIVA is present are owned and controlled by GODIVA Chocolatier.:

Hi PK650,
Here is an additional source that notes "Yildiz Holding, Godiva's Turkish parent since 2008, will remain owner of the Godiva brand, while granting MBK a perpetual license in Godiva Japan's service area."
Would this work to change the initial line?

Relevant quote here: "The buyout firm fought off about a dozen interested parties to seal the deal, worth more than $1bn, for Godiva’s retail and distribution operations in Japan, South Korea and Australia. Godiva will retain control of the brand." 205.182.136.53 ( talk) 14:29, 14 October 2022 (UTC) reply
