I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of End of slavery in the United States of America's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 02:26, 24 October 2021 (UTC) reply

New Jersey

I recognize that New Jersey claims to have outlawed slavery in 1804, but in reality people were enslaved up until the 13th amendment. I would think if any one year was given for the 'end of slavey' it would be when the last enslaved person is given their freedom. I'll wait for comments and make the changes.

Lead needs to clarify exactly when slavery came to end in the US

The lead does not really summarise the topic e.g., when exactly did slavery ended in the US. It does not really help people just looking for a quick answer e.g., exact date. 2A00:23EE:1300:82A3:2D54:CDAD:9CBC:E436 ( talk) 12:34, 4 June 2023 (UTC) reply
