Carole King should really have a list of not just music she performed, but also the songs she wrote (which may well be her greater legacy). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mukogodo ( talk • contribs) 01:31, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
I would like to second the unidentified person who suggested that a list of songs written by Carole King would be interesting and informative. Especially if it identified those she wrote for other singers that she herself never performed later. Someone pointed me to a clip of a song called 'Early Morning Hush' she wrote for a singer named B. J. Thomas. Graham1973 ( talk) 14:27, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

I oppose the proposed merge with A Natural Woman (book), a clearly notable topic, and would consider it a courtesy if Salimfadhley would withdraw the proposal at this time, especially since the tag was placed just ten minutes after I'd began the entry: there's hardly been an opportunity even to see what kind of entry could be developed and a merge discussion is premature. Lead says 1955, even though the body says nothing about anything King did in 1955. Infobox gives the starting year as 1958. Which one is right? Ilovetopaint ( talk) 17:19, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
"King also wrote 61 hits that charted in the UK,[3] making her the most successful female songwriter on the UK singles charts between 1952[contradictory] and 2005.[4]"
Why contradictory? Add up the hits on the UK charts during 1952 - 2005 and see which female songwriter is on top. Just because Carole was only 10 in 1952, and thus probably not much of a songwriter, if a songwriter at all, in that year, doesn't mean that she wasn't the most successful songwriter during that period. She is not in the Rock Hall, but is currently nominated. Wolf O'Donnel ( talk) 16:48, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Rumor overheard night of 24 Dec 1998, Camp Doha, Kuwait, was that King had knocked out artist Jim Morrison with a single punch (possibly a wicked left hook). Ostensibly confirmed by SECDEF (William Cohen) who was also present at the time. King was silent on the issue, but body language suggested she agreed with the often repeated statement. I made a small edit, changed 25 million to 30 million with a citation, but I don't know enough to fix the messed up order of citations that I've just noticed. So I apologize PROFUSELY for messing up the syntax, I've never seen syntax this complicated. Luxfornow ( talk) 14:18, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
