I don't care one way or another. However, there are "board(s) of supervisors" for non-county agencies, i.e., the governing bodies of the Louisiana state universities. Calwatch 02:53, 9 May 2006 (UTC) reply

Sure, but are those really within the scope of this article?

Here in Michigan, the governing boards of the three major state universities, all elected statewide, have three different names (board of regents, board of trustees, board of governors). A lot of private colleges have a "board of visitors". Doesn't Harvard have a "board of overseers"? College/university governance is a whole other world. As far as I'm aware, only the U.S. has bodies called "county Boards of Supervisors". The situation is different to, say, county councils, which exist in a number of countries. I've therefore removed the {{worldview}} tag. — Lincolnite ( talk) 22:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC) reply
