OK article, great gal, but: "Crackers" was disco oriented? What wasn't said to be in the years between 1976 and 1981 or so? But, the truth ---the groove for "Crackers" isn't disco --- just very slick early 80's/late 70's pop, sort of a Doobie Brothers-cum-Captain & Tennille-cum-Elton John-cum-Steely Dan-cum-whatever else. Not disco!! Listen to the drummer! Renaissongsman 04:48, 9 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Retirement/Stage

She retired from performing in 1997 because after her accident, she no longer enjoyed it and suffered from serious stage fright. She has never performed since. Why is this fact not part of the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.172.40.53 ( talk) 02:14, 16 January 2014 (UTC) reply

If you have a reliable source that states that you can add it. Tomsv 98 ( talk) 16:38, 12 February 2014 (UTC) reply
This is not a factual statement. Barbara does from time to time make public appearances. She did not retire because she no longer enjoyed it. She retired because she was afraid that she had lost her mainstream following and felt she had given all that she had to give. Barbara did not and does not suffer from stage fright. -- Canyouhearmenow 04:00, 13 February 2014 (UTC) reply
