To start: Specifically, the last route under the East section, talking about the route operated by
Barons Bus Lines, may be also be funded to operate with money from "Ohio Rural Intercity Bus Program" (
Go Bus). It might be seasonally, or sometimes considered an Amtrak Thruway. It may not always be funded in such a way to consider it in this list. There may need to be clarifications for many of the routes in this whole list.
Many of the routes listed here operate for their own company, and are funded through government support and not necessarily for Amtrak. Is this worth starting a conversation about?

I support converting the list to one or more tables, with a column for operator. I don't think funding is a factor to consider for inclusion in the list. If you can buy tickets as part of your train journey on amtrak.com, then it's part of the Amtrak Thruway network. It might be interesting to have a section outside the list talking about funding mechanisms, and/or creating a second list talking about operators and how each is funded.

I'd also would like to see this list converted to a table. I added two new routes about a week ago and while looking at the list found it to bit a bit of a mish-mash. The Amtrak website is of no help if you are trying to figure out where the various Thruway routes operate. Many of them are detailed on the Amtrak System maps that are available online though. Data in the table should include, The train station, the intermediate stops (if any) on the Thruway route, and the terminal Thruway station, and the name of the operator. To be included on the list I think there should be requirement that the tickets can be book though the Amtrak website. Those of my thoughts at the moment and I'm happy to help to cull out the list and add references once we have a table format defined. Thanks.
