I changed the intro to indicate the drought in the past tense. There are plenty of references for most of California being out of drought like this one: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-drought-gone-20170223-story.html Only a small portion of California is classified as being in drought according to U.S. drought monitor. The snowpack is 150% above normal and all of the major reservoirs are past full and spilling water. What do you think? Daniel.Cardenas ( talk) 21:44, 26 February 2017 (UTC) reply

How did La Nina end the drought? I thought El Nino did?

El Nino didn't end the drought. If you were paying attention, and if you look up some articles, you'll see that there was actually a weak La Nina in place when the powerful storms were drenching California.
