English: Monument to Thaddeus Kosciuszko in
Milwaukee's Kosciuszko Park, on the city's
South Side. This statue was sculpted by
Gaetano Trentanove in 1904 and was a gift from the
Polish National Alliance, dedicated on June 18, 1905. Several decades later, the monument was relocated within Kosciuszko Park to face Lincoln Avenue (a main thoroughfare) and rededicated on September 16, 1951
[1]. Following
community-led fundraising over the course of a few years that brought in $360,000, the statue was restored in Ohio and re-dedicated in Kosciuszko Park on Nov. 11, 2013.
