English: Li Yiyu (1832–1892) was the second-generation grandmaster of Wu (Hao)-style t'ai-chi ch'üan and the first to teach the art outside the extended family of founder Wu Yuxiang. The wealthy founder of a medical clinic devoted to treating smallpox, in his spare time he practiced, researched, and wrote extensively on t'ai-chi ch'üan. His writings are now considered part of the t'ai-chi ch'üan classics, and his top student was the third-generation grandmaster Hao Weizhen.
