This category includes the languages that have their own distinct writing systems, not directly or explicitly borrowed from the writing systems distinctly owned by other languages. It may include the languages using derived or evolved writing systems, distinct from the parent writing system(s). For example, Indic scripts are descended from the Brahmi script. However, the formers are still distinct from the latter.
